Palanor serves three rings of access. They are not competing products — they amplify one another.
Practitioner — free
For the individual analyst, consultant, student, or strategist who wants to read the lattice without an organization. You get read-only access to the public signal catalog, methodology pages, contributor bylines, and a personal Lattice Canvas where you can compose graphs as thinking exercises.
You do not get Scenarios, Context News, Seer, or Council. Those are the steward tier.

Researcher — free, application-gated
For the contributor who authors signals into the global catalog. Researcher status is granted by application — email research@palanor.com with a sample signal pitch and your area of expertise. Existing admin or researcher roles on a paying org also qualify.
Researchers can submit signal proposals at /contribute, edit their own submissions until approved, maintain a contributor profile, and earn byline credit on every approved signal page.
Steward — paid
For organizations running the full instrument. Stewards see Context News every morning, run Scenarios scored against their strategy, build Lattice Canvases that save to the org, work with Council, and access every pillar of the platform their plan unlocks.
Sign up at /sign-up. The flow walks through org setup, business profile, and team invites.
Moving between rings
Practitioners upgrade to stewards by creating an organization from their account settings — your personal canvases stay with you and can be promoted into the org's scenario library at upgrade. Researchers who don't already steward an org can do either: apply researcher status for byline contribution, or upgrade to steward when their org needs the platform.
The mental model: Bloomberg Terminal and Bloomberg.com. The free ring amplifies brand and feeds the steward pipeline; it does not compete with the enterprise tier.
