About
A vigil for the long horizons.
Palanor is an Enterprise Intelligence Platform — built for stewards who have to see further than the next quarter.
What Palanor is
Palanor is a new category. Not BI. Not strategy software. Not consulting.
It is predictive scenario-based intelligence — a continuous instrument for the people who carry responsibility for institutions, capital, and consequence over long horizons.
Six Intelligence products, one platform, one agent.
- Scenarios — pressure-test the futures that matter. Three creation paths: Guided (Numen interviews you), Builder (every field in your hand), or Loom Canvas (the proprietary signal-mapping canvas where you build the thesis as a graph).
- Signal Watch — the lattice. One hundred-plus signals: equities, commodities, rates, credit spreads, FRED economic series, prediction markets, plus Palanor's twelve proprietary Custom Indices and ten Schema frameworks.
- Context News — read the news through the strategy, not around it. Daily briefs ranked against your business profile and stripped of the politically charged noise.
- Seer Backplan — back-plan from a chosen future to today's decisions.
- Council — strategic partnership when the moment demands a steady hand.
A single agent — Numen — observes alongside the steward, surfacing what matters and translating signals into action.
What we've built
The platform has been shipping in public for the past year. As of May 2026:
- The Signals lattice — over one hundred live signals across FRED economic data, equity indexes, commodities, credit, currency, prediction markets (Kalshi). Each signal in the same vocabulary, weighted to your strategic surface. palanor.com/signals
- Twelve Custom Indices — six house composites (Consumer Confidence, Liquidity, Labor Heat, Inflation Pulse, Risk Appetite, Geopolitical Stress) and six thesis composites (The Palanor Index, AI Margin Compression, Capital Tightness, Energy Transition, Industrial Pulse, Steward Confidence). Each one has a public methodology page. palanor.com/indices
- Ten Schema frameworks — Dalio's Big Cycle, Minsky's Financial Instability Hypothesis, Howard Marks's Market Cycle, Soros Reflexivity, Marathon Capital Cycle, Shiller CAPE Regime, Hype Cycle, Kondratiev Long Wave, Rolling Recession, plus Palanor's own AI Margin Compression schema. Each scored daily against the live signal lattice. palanor.com/schemas
- Loom Canvas — proprietary signal-mapping canvas where stewards compose scenarios as graphs. Typed, weighted edges (leads-to, inverse, amplifies, dampens, contingent-on) feed the unified scoring engine. The math respects the graph.
- Prediction markets as first-class signals — Kalshi markets discovered daily by Numen, scored for stewardship relevance, refreshed hourly. Stewards add their own by pasting a market URL.
- Customizable Schemas + signal weights — every steward's lattice tunes to their business. The same platform, read through your specific lens.
- Numen — one Claude-native agent across every surface. Same voice in Context News briefs, in scenario narratives, in the personalization line at the bottom of every component.
- Building in public — sixty-plus tagged releases on the changelog, live operational status at palanor.com/status.
The lattice grows daily. The Indices and Schemas evolve as we learn what stewards actually carry into the room. The agent improves alongside the underlying model. The platform you see today is materially deeper than the platform six months from now will be.
Who we serve
Palanor is built for stewards. The word is precise.
A steward is anyone who holds something entrusted to their care — capital, an institution, a community, a generation. Stewards are not optimizers. They are not maximizers. They are people who have to act with wisdom and courage across time horizons that exceed their own tenure.
Our customers include private equity firms and their portfolio companies, mid-market operators facing structural disruption, family offices, boards of directors, and the strategy and finance teams who advise them. The framing is intentionally wide. Fiduciary responsibility creates structural demand for the kind of seeing Palanor provides.
What we believe
Most organizations forecast. Almost none practice predictive scenario-based intelligence as a discipline.
Forecasts produce a single line — confident, brittle, and almost always wrong about the things that matter most. Scenarios produce a map of possible futures, weighted by the signals that move them. The difference is the difference between a guess and a watch.
We believe that in an age of compounding volatility — AI margin compression, capital cycles, geopolitical reordering, talent dislocation — the institutions that endure will be the ones whose stewards learned to see across long horizons before they had to.
That is what Palanor exists to do.
Founder

Tim Woodring · Founder
I have spent twenty years adding value through fearless creativity — connecting dots in complex situations that most people find overwhelming. My background is graphic design and art direction, but the maker-brain runs across business strategy, service innovation, executive messaging, and brand. I currently serve as Chief Solutions Officer at Unbridled and have founded several operating companies along the way.
Palanor is the platform I have wanted to use for years and could never find. The discipline of scenario thinking has lived in McKinsey decks and academic journals; it has never lived in software that operates continuously alongside the people doing the work. I built Palanor to close that gap.
I am married to Olivia, a father, and a Christian. The framing of stewardship is not metaphor. It is the lens I bring to every part of my life, and it is the lens this company is built to serve.
Where we're going
Palanor is in pre-seed. The product is live; the first paid pilots are in motion. Over the next twelve months, we will expand the six Intelligence products, deepen the signal infrastructure, and stand up Council as a formal practice.
If you are a steward looking for an instrument, a partner considering investment, or an operator who wants to help build, we would like to hear from you.
What the company funds
The Palanor Foundation is a sister organization forming in 2027. Funded by a covenant in Palanor, Inc.’s Articles of Incorporation — ten percent of net profit, every year, transferred to the Foundation — it is the act half of the purpose statement Palanor was built on. Patient, recoverable capital deployed to projects that most foundations do not reach. The covenant is structural, not discretionary.
